As soon as they arrived at the scene, at 1.20 am, two policemen were attacked and wounded by an individual armed with a knife .
Impatient police
One of the officers was shot in the leg and the other in the hand . Their days are not in danger but their state of health still required hospitalisation to receive care. The police came out of the hospital on Sunday.
The individual arrested
The individual was apprehended by the police.
In a statement, the Unity SGP union “salutes the professionalism of the police officers involved and gives them its full support and wishes for a speedy recovery”. It should be noted that the patterns of violence against law enforcement agencies are steadily progressing and Unity SGP demands that these acts of rebellion be very severely punished.
