Seven departments is center of the country were placed in orange alert for storms, according to the latest bulletin from Meteo France, published this Monday at 5pm.


Relevant departments are: Ain (01), Drôme (26), Isère (38), the Jura (39) Saône et Loire (71), Savoy (73) and the Upper Savoie (74).

These storms are many, with strong electrical activity, says Meteo France. Some storm cells accompany hail, strong gusts of wind (of the order of 80 to 100 km/h) and high rain rates (10 to 20 mm in less than half an hour).

Meteo France announced the end of the orange alert storms to Paris and suburbs (75-92-93-94), the Seine-et-Marne (77), Yvelines (78) Essonne (91) and Val d’Oise (95).
