Edvald Boasson Hagen wins 19th stage of Tour de France 2017

CYCLING: The 19th stage of the Tour de France between Embrun and Salon-de-Provence was won by Edvald Boasson Hagen

Six years. That was six years that Edvald Boasson Hagen (Dimension Data) had not won a stage victory, it’s done since Friday and his solo success during the 19th stage of the Tour de France 2017 between Embrun and Salon -de-Provence.

A break of twenty riders, including lots of French (Calmejane, Chavanel , Molard Gesbert …), thought to dispute the final victory but after a lightning attack Keukeleire to 17 kilometers from the finish, eleven guys (all french except Sylvain Chavanel) remained on the tile.

And at least three kilometres from the finish line, the Norwegian Edvald Boasson Hagen launched the fatal attack to win alone. Deserved.
