Take cover from 4pm. Meteo France placed 15 departments of the South West and the Massif Central in orange alert for thunderstorms and rain-flood .

They should touch the eight departments of the former Midi-Pyrénées as well as those of the Allier, the Loire, Correze, Cantal, Puy-de-Dôme, Haute-Loire and the Creuse.


According to the warning bulletin, “there is a significant risk of violent phenomenon. On the South West and the Massif Central, thunderstorms will be accompanied by heavy hail, wind gusts of violence and will provide strong local rain totals in a short time, of the order of 50 to 80 mm. ”

These important showers should especially touch the Tarn-et-Garonne, Lot, Tarn and Aveyron in the evening.

The authorities therefore call for caution, avoid using electrical appliances during the stormy episode, to be vigilant when traveling. This violent episode should be completed in the middle of night, around 2 am.
