LEISURE: The Puy du Fou theme park in Vendée wins the Oscar for best creation for the show “Le Dernier Panache” …
The awards continue to accrue to the Puy du Fou. After receiving two awards for “Best World Park” in 2012 and 2014, in Los Angeles and Orlando (USA), after receiving the award for “the best attraction of the world” in 2015 for his show “The Lover Verdun” the Vendée theme park is winning again, this time for his latest work, “Le Dernier Panache”.
The jury of the prestigious Themed Entertainment Association (THEA) , which brings together professionals from leisure parks, has decided in late November to award one of the fifteen awards for “Best New World” to “le dernier Panache”. This equivalent of the Oscars for the area was officially presented this weekend in Los Angeles.

Second behind Disneyland in France
The show, which tells the story of the officer Charette , mixing real and virtual sets, is set in a stunning hall of 7,500 m2 where the stands are around the scene. It is played at the park since April 2016.
With already 2.2 million visitors in 2016, the Puy du Fou, created in 1989 by Philippe de Villiers, consolidates its position as the second theme park in France behind Disneyland resort. It also will open a park in Spain in 2019.
