A moped rider of 41 years old, died on Monday night in a road accident. He lost control of his vehicle while traveling on the Plougrescant – Plouguiel road near Lannion (Côtes d’Armor).
The crash was fatal for the victim, aged 41 and living in the Plougrescant area. He was travelling on the D8, which connects Plougrescant to Plouguiel, when he lost control of his motorcycle around 6 pm on Monday. The two-wheeler came to rest at a concrete pole. The man, who was not wearing a helmet, died instantly.
Firefighters did try to revive him for 45 minutes. In vain. The victim suffered a fatal wound to his face.
