A woman aged 87 was killed on the road on Sunday night at a place called “the Châtenet” on a small road from Montbron. The eighty year old was a passenger in the car driven by her husband, 85 years old. The couple lives Orgedeuil.
The car left the road at the exit of a corner, probably as a result of discomfort of the driver. The vehicle hit a tree with full force. The two passengers were trapped in the cockpit, she seriously injured, a little less seriously. They were rescued by firefighters from Montbron.
The wife died on the spot from her injuries. The husband was taken to the hospital.
