A serious accident occurred on Monday morning on the RN 25 between Arras and Doullens between a truck and a school bus. The accident left one dead and several wounded, two of them have been seriously injured and in danger of death, announces the prefecture. The collision occurred at the town Bavincourt in the Pas-de-Calais.
College students were on the bus
The collision occurred around 7.45am between a truck and a bus carrying students of the college Val du Gy in Avesnes-le-Comte. According to the prefecture of Pas-de-Calais, the truck veered for an unknown reason on the right lane and hit the bus head on.

The toll was heavy. The driver of the car died. One of the children had to be cut out of the wreckage by the fire service . Seriously injured, he was taken unconscious to the Amiens hospital with his life in the balance. The prognosis of the truck driver, too, is still serious. He was admitted to the hospital of Arras.
In the accident, another schoolboy was seriously injured but his life is not in danger. A dozen other children, shocked, were sent to the medical and psychological emergency unit of the hospital center of Arras.
The RN 25, between Arras and Doullens, was closed to traffic. A detour has been set up, while investigation in the cause of the accident is carried out and the wreckage removed.
