Gendarmes are appealing for witnesses after a donkey shot at Chassagny

They have fired deliberately at the animal. A call for witnesses was launched on Sunday by the gendarmerie in Mornant to find the person or persons who killed a Donkey at a property in Chassagny near Givors last Saturday.

Several young spotted

According to the owner of the donkey, who also appealed via Facebook, several young persons were spotted with a .22 gauge gun near the donkey called Ebony on Saturday evening at around 6.30pm, before taking the running to a car parked on a small road along the path of the Forest at a place called La Mine.

Soon after the blast has sounded in Chassagny, Ebony was found dead in a field near the road to the Forest.

All persons who may have information that could help police should contact investigators from the Gendarmerie in Mornant on 04 78 33 00 64.
