The mobilization of farmers protesting against the purchase price of their products by supermarkets continues. On Monday, blocking the city of Saintes, in Charente-Maritime, it is organized by protesters who respond to the call of the Departmental Federation of Farmers’ Unions (FDSEA) and Young Farmers (CDJA).
About a hundred tractors make it impossible to access to the main roundabouts of the city “indefinitely” . Farmers are also mobilized in Brittany for several days.

In a statement the Charente-Maritime prefecture said it had closed junction 35 of the A10 motorway into Saintes to prevent motorists coming into the blocked area, and create further chaos on the ring road. Many diversions were put in place.
