Certainly, Paris is beaten by London, its great rival, but the play of the most visited cities in the world, the French capital is not doing too badly since it has climbed up the charts from last year to third place in the world and second place within Europe.

More than 16 million foreign visitors are expected in Paris in 2015, according to a MasterCard survey which ranks the 132 cities that will host the most visitors (tourists or business travelers) over a year . This attendance is “increased by over 3% compared to 2014,” says Régis Folbaum, President and CEO of MasterCard France, in the columns of the Figaro .
Paris stands this year ahead of Dubai, and its 14.26 million visitors this year, but the emirate displays the fastest growth of the top 10 most visited cities in the world. London, for the fifth consecutive year is in top spot, and should welcome 18,820,000 visitors. Bangkok comes on the heels with 18.24 million tourists expected.
