Last night, Tuesday 17th January at 8.20pm, in the municipality of Saint-Martin-de-Mailloc, a serious road accident occurred on the RD 519, between Lisieux and Orbec.
Of the four people on board the car, a young man aged 18, was seriously injured and transported by helicopter to the University Hospital of Caen. The other three young men, all aged 19 years old, were transported to the University Hospital of Lisieux.
The vehicle had come off the road, hitting a utility pole. According to the mayor of Saint-Martin-de-Mailloc, the vehicle “was travelling at high speed. He wanted to overtake and swerved, coming off the road and hitting the pole” .
