Alternating traffic established in Paris on Tuesday and 22 towns in the inner suburbs will be repeated on Wednesday due to the persistence of fine particle pollution and nitrogen dioxide, announced the municipality.
Wednesday, only vehicles with odd-numbered license plates will be allowed to circulate in the Paris region, those with even plates that could ride on Tuesday .

The Airparif watchdog has planned a high pollution index on Wednesday, stressing that other French cities and Europe (Lyon, London, Berlin) undergo local episodes due to cyclonic conditions.

Setting up on Tuesday for the fourth time in two years, alternating traffic caused major jams in the Ile-de-France.
Disruptions in public transport
The situation was complicated by the total interruption of traffic Tuesday RER B. Only vehicles whose number on the license plate was even and those with a derogation were able to move on Tuesday, but public transport was free.
