The charity organisation Secours Populaire, demonstrates its solidarity with the victims of the tragic earthquake that hit several villages in central Italy leaving over 200 dead and several hundred injured and many families without homes. It has made an appeal for financial donations, to the inhabitants of Nantes and the Loire Atlantique which can be sent to the Secours Populaire in Nantes.
The toll continues to rise in Italy after the earthquake. Secours Populaire, which has forged links with Italian solidarity organisations, is mobilising to aid the victims as quick as possible.
Without delay, “Secours populaire has unlocked a first emergency payment of € 50,000 for action in partnership with ARCI, longstanding partner and active with people with difficulties in Italy”, it has announced.
Secours populaire has appealed to financial donations to meet the needs now and throughout the duration to assist the many children and families that now find themselves homeless.
In the Loire-Atlantique, these financial donations can be sent to the French Secours Populaire, 163 rue Paul Bellamy, 44000 Nantes.
It should be specified on the cheque “Fonds d’urgence et post-urgence séisme Italie.”
