Dinners orchestrated by leaders Alléno Yannick and Yann Couvreur will be served from May in two cars restored from the mythical train Orient Express, in Cannes, Paris and Bordeaux.

The menu, designed by three star chef, Yannick Alléno and pastry chef Yann Couvreur, will be five courses and includes a consummate lobster,  celery with caviar seeds, a small dish of prawns, a chicken and a “meringue backdrop to strawberries’ dessert.

530 euros a night

The operation, dubbed “the table Orient Express” will stop in Bordeaux from the 20th to 30th July, with trips to Pauillac and Arcachon. Nine dinners are offered at the price of 530 euros per person. Some 38 guests can sit every evening from 7.30pm.  Bookings are already open.

In total, between Cannes, Paris and Bordeaux, 63 nights are available for booking in two cars belonging to the company Orient Express, a subsidiary of SNCF, which were revised and restored in Clermont-Ferrand. Jewel of the Art Deco period, the legendary train that stopped circulating in 1977, was decorated by big names such as René Prou and René Lalique.

The Orient Express originally left Paris on the 4th October 1883, for a first round trip to Constantinople of 3094 kilometers in less than two weeks.
