A motorist was caught speeding last weekend at a speed of 194 km/ h on the road from Pornic, at Chéméré, reports the Loire-Atlantique Gendarmerie. The portion of the road was limited to 110 km/h.
The Nantes gendarme who arrested the father who, in addition to endangering other road users, was also travelling with his three children aged 6, 8 and 15 years on board. And when the police questioned him about his destination, the man explained that he wanted to go to the beach.
His driving license was immediately withdrawn and his vehicle sent to the police pound. He will soon have to appear before the criminal court on charges of speeding.
