His owner, who lives in the countryside in the Pays de Fougères, explains:

“Our cat goes out a lot, we did not worry when he did not answer when we called him because it is often the case.”

“The vet has totally hallucinated”

But, time passes and the cat still does not come back. Helene * and her companion go in search of her and fall near their house on their animal who was walking with difficulty. The young woman continues:

“He was completely disfigured, his face bleeding. We first thought of a fight with other cats, but it soon turned out that was not the case.”

Brought to the veterinary clinic of Rennes, guard this evening, the cat passes a radio which confirms what the couple dreads. Helen adds:

“Our cat received 23 bursts of lead bullets in the body, two of which were in the eye. The vet has totally hallucinated.”

The five-year-old animal spent the night in the sedated clinic. His care continued at the veterinary clinic of Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier.

The cat’s eye will be preserved but he will not see anymore. Leads in his body are unlikely to be removed. the young woman explains:

“He returns, no operation should be necessary at the moment unless his state changes abruptly.”

The couple, upset, filed a complaint against X at the gendarmerie of Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier. A neighbourhood survey was opened.

The couple, who is afraid that the survey will not help, will move:

“I can not live in fear that it starts again. When I saw it arrive, it traumatized me, I have nightmares at night.”

According to Article 521-1 of the Penal Code: “The fact, whether publicly or not, of engaging in serious or sexual abuse, or of committing an act of cruelty to a domestic animal, or being tamed, or kept in captivity is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of € 30,000.00. ”
