The distribution group Carrefour wants to negotiate with the unions for the establishment of a conventional collective break allowing the elimination of 1500 positions.
This is another news that will not reassure Carrefour employees .
According to Le Figaro , the distribution group wants to remove 1,500 of its 60,000 positions in hypermarkets French as part of its transformation plan, via a conventional collective termination agreement (RCC).
Contrary to a social plan, the measure allows to separate from employees without justifying an economic motive . But none of the starts can be forced.
Carrefour holds its central works council this Wednesday and Thursday. On this occasion, the management will negotiate an agreement with the unions.
Before launching the collective collective break, the management must sign a majority agreement with the staff representatives. For that he will have to convince FO, which collected 47% of the votes in the last professional elections, indicates BFMTV.
Several hypermarkets in suspension
Carrefour has already reduced its workforce by 4400 posts, between voluntary departures in several countries and the closure of Dia stores in France.
