The Chancerelle cannery in Douarnenez is looking for 100 employees. These are essentially production operator positions. 50 permanent employees are at the key.
The activity is growing at Chancerelle leading the canning fish to recruit. 100 positions are to be filled immediately in the factories of Douarnenez . The company, however, has a lot of trouble finding candidates. Explanations from the Director of Human Resources, Jean-Christophe Onno :
“Our business is growing. This is also the case for other agri-food companies. We are therefore many to recruit in a rather limited employment pool. In our case, it is limited to a radius of 20 km around Douarnenez. “
Chancerelle is mainly looking for production operators on its evisceration and evisceration lines and sardines. Two teams follow one another: in the morning (5:45 am – 1:15 pm) and in the evening (1:45 pm – 9:45 pm). Employees work 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
10.21 euros per hour
“The gross hourly rate is 10.21 euros. We must add bonuses of night, transport, clothing … “, informs Jean-Christophe Onno. The HRD also emphasizes the many training courses offered, the integration program and internal promotion.
Some driver positions also have to be filled.
Chancerelle favours employment on the interim contract. However,
“Of the 100 positions, 50 will be established by the end of the year. We have already started 50 people in the first semester.”
Hiring is expected to continue in 2019.
