Department Election swing to the right

The right has won 63 departments, with the left winning 30 in the second round of the departmental elections. The FN won no departments.

The results are almost definitive. At 11pm on Sunday, the right is given to winning in 63 departments, the left in 30 and none for the FN.

Twenty-seven departments rock from side to side. One from right to left (Lozere). The most prominent, spectacular failures of the left in the Meeting, in Corrèze, stronghold of François Hollande, in Essonne, Department of Manuel Valls, but also in the North, the Aisne, Somme, Oise, the Seine et Marne, Doubs, Rhône, Ain, Isère, Drôme, Bouches-du-Rhone, Charente, Reunion, the Deux Sevres, Jura, Territoire de Belfort, Cher, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Seine Maritime, Eure, La Creuse, Côtes d’Armor, North, Isère, Allier, Saone-et-Loire, the Tarn-et-Garonne.

But that’s not the only surprise of this second round of the departmental elections.  : Jura, Territoire de Belfort, Drôme, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Seine Maritime, all the Poitou-Charente departments, the Eure, La Creuse, Côtes d’Armor, North, Isère, Allier, Saone-et-Loire and the Tarn-et-Garonne are included in the ranks of those departments that changed colour.
