Traffic forecasts for the strike at the SNCF this Sunday

This Sunday, traffic forecasts will be identical to Saturday, on the occasion of the 12th day of strike at the SNCF.

Half of the TGVs and one third of Intercités will circulate Sunday. On the twelfth day of strike against the railway reform, the forecasts are identical to those of Saturday, announced the SNCF in a statement.

The group also plans, as for Saturday , three Transiliens out of five and two TER out of five, for this Sunday which coincides with the return of holidays of zone C and the bridge of May 1st. Three out of four international trains will operate.

Traffic “improving”

Management had welcomed Friday that the traffic is “significantly improved” compared to previous days of strike.

Among the staff being subject to a declaration of intention to strike, 28% declared wanting to strike on Saturday, against “48% at the beginning of conflict,” she noted.



For the first time, less than 50% of drivers (49.6%) said they wanted to strike, compared to 77% on the first day of the movement.

As for the day of Saturday, the TGV traffic was “almost normal” in the East. Two out of five trains were planned on the Atlantic and North axes and two trains out of three in the Southeast.

SNCF announced Friday a 50% reduction in June for TER subscribers in compensation for disturbances suffered since the beginning of April, as well as reductions of 30% for subscribers of the TGV (in May) and Intercités.
