29 departments placed on Orange alert

RAIN: The weather orange alert runs from north to the Alps and the South West …

Twenty-nine departments are orange alert this Monday for rain, floods and avalanches, due to a disturbance stretching North to the Alps and the South West, said Meteo France.

The Doubs (26) Jura (39) were placed on red alert for flooding.

Those particularly concerned by the orange alert for rain and floods are: Ain (01), Isère (38), Savoy (73) and Haute-Savoie (74). The Savoie and Isère are also placed in orange avalanche awareness alert.

Until Tuesday




The Aveyron (12), Tarn (81) Tarn-et-Garonne (82), the Lot-et-Garonne (47), Haute-Marne (52) , Nièvre (58) and the Yonne (89) are affected. Calvados (14) Orne (61) Eure (27) Seine Maritime (76) Oise (60), Val d’Oise (95) and Yvelines (78) are orange flood alert.


These orange alerts should be completed by early Tuesday evening.
