High Winds across CXôtes d'Armor have left 1300 homes without electricity

A strong gale was announced Wednesday night, on the tip of Brittany. The department of Cotes d’Armor was not spared. Firefighters have triggered a dozen interventions, mainly for fallen trees on the road. 1300 homes are without power in Côtes d’Armor, Thursday morning at 10 am. Including 300 homes in Tréguidel were without power after the fall of a tree on a power line.

The firefighters mobilized on several fronts last night due to the storm . They received several phone calls to report fallen trees and blocked roads.

Thursday morning, 1,300 homes were without electricity on the coast of the Cotes d’Armor, including 300 homes in Tréguidel are still without power after the fall of a tree on a line of 20,000 volts.

The sectors affected by the cuts are those of Saint-Brieuc on the coast of Goëlo Center Brittany and the department  of Guingamp. Firefighters are especially intervened in Pordic, Lanleff, Callac, Lanvollon, Plourivo, Moustéru Châtelaudren, Trégueux and Loudeac for fallen trees.

Since that night Enedis mobilized 250 agents to recharge without electricity Breton homes. The goal is that all are replenished tonight.



Météo France had announced gusts near 100 km / h Wednesday night.  Forecasters have placed on yellow alert for  high winds in Finistère, Côtes d’Armor, Morbihan and Ille-et-Vilaine, as seventeen other departments of the northwest quarter.
