Strasbourg: The 455th Edition of the Christmas Market Unveils its New Products

FESTIVITIES: Christmas approaches, the city of Strasbourg has just revealed the new features of its famous Christmas market

Three weeks before the opening of the Strasbourg Christmas market (Bas-rhin), the city unveiled the main new features of Christkindelsmärik 2025 on Wednesday. As indicated This is Alsace, the event will be held from the 26th November to the 24th December and will have the theme of the crown. Around 300 chalets will be installed like last year, including 7 new ones, selected to highlight the’crafts local.

This 455th edition aims to make the event more inclusive and accessible. With 3.4 million visitors last year, the municipality plans to make pedestrian and cyclist traffic as fluid as possible, in particular through redesigned signage at market entrances. In addition, priority lines for disabled people will be set up.

A “respite zone”

Big news this year: the creation of a rest area at Place Kléber. This area will provide a quiet place for tired visitors, the elderly or young parents. It will be equipped with changing tables, bottle warmers, noise-canceling headphones and walkers.

In order to better distribute attendance, the city will also renew them Christmas markets ephemeral in nine neighborhoods. On the practical side, the chalets will be open every day from 11.30am to 9pm.
