Dacia Releases a Duster Pick-Up for Artisans

AUTO: Dacia lifts the veil on the Duster Cargo, a new utility version of its emblematic SUV. Designed directly in the heart of the factory, this model abandons its family vocation to target artisans, independents and small businesses
On board, there is a flat floor, a mesh partition behind the front seats, four tie-down hooks and opaque rear windows. Result: a loading space capable of carrying up to 430 kg of payload. With a ground clearance of 217 mm and the possibility of all-wheel drive, it retains the off-road capabilities of the SUV original, while becoming an ally for mixed journeys between city and construction sites.
On the engine side, two electrified units are on the program: the mild-hybrid 130 in 4×4 and the brand new hybrid 155, more efficient and compliant with current standards.
But one point is debated: loading space, considered too small for certain uses. The narrow and shallow skip deviates from what fans of real pick-ups expect. For bulky transport, the Cargo there is therefore a risk of showing your limits.
A practical but limited Duster
Customers therefore have access to a level of comfort and technology identical to that of the SUV, with differences focused only on the utility part. Under the hood, two electrified engines are offered: the 130 hp mild-hybrid associated with all-wheel drive, and the 140 hp full-hybrid available in front-wheel drive. A double offer which allows you to maintain a good compromise between versatility, sobriety and off-road capabilities.
In terms of prices, the model is already in the official catalog Dacia in Romania, where it is offered from 25,983 € excluding tax. However, this marketing remains for the moment strictly reserved for the romanian market. There is no indication yet of an upcoming arrival in other European markets, which currently limits access to this Pick-Up to local customers only.
