“A very compact cloud cover”
“Storms are possible over a good western half of the territory, they are confined in the afternoon rather from the Center-Val de Loire to Limousin and Midi-Pyrénées. The rains and showers will increase with, sometimes locally, a stormy character.
The cloud cover is still very compact throughout the day from the plains of Languedoc-Roussillon to the southern foothills of the Massif Central. A few drizzles or light rain are to be feared at times. From Lorraine to Alsace, from Franche-Comté to Rhône-Alpes, the PACA region and Corsica, the sky is cluttered with fairly thick altitude clouds, but the weather remains dry in general.
During the afternoon, the sun will timidly break through the clouds in the northwest. But in the evening, the East will evacuate the degradation and the clearings will become general in the northern half.
Sunday morning, the weather will still be well overcast, with widespread showers over three-quarters of the country, before the sun is a little more generous. In the Far East, there will be light thunderstorm activity.
The weather is expected to clear from Monday 20 March.
