Peugeot compares its new 2008 SUV to an instinctive and versatile driving experience. Ultra technological, it is also multi-energy by offering 3 types of engines.
True SUV in its dimensions, the new Peugeot 2008 detonates with a particularly powerful and distinctive style. At the technological level, it adopts the new generation of the i-Cockpit 3D, equipment and driving aids at the level of the best know-how of Peugeot. It offers the freedom to choose from 3 types of efficient engines, petrol, diesel and especially electric, a great first for Peugeot on a mass-market model.
Habitability and high head cockpit
The spaciousness of the rear seats makes the new Peugeot 2008 a particularly versatile SUV. Its length of 4.30 m and its wheelbase of 2.60 m also give it a comfortable boot volume of up to 434 litres. The modularity, meanwhile, is provided by a floor two positions (depending on versions) that allows a virtually flat floor once the rear seats are folded.
The Peugeot i-Cockpit is still based on the same fundamentals and offers flawless ergonomics with a compact steering wheel, a large HD touch screen at your fingertips and a look and now an innovative 3D head-up handset.
Petrol, Diesel and electricity
Under the hood, it will have a petrol engine 1.2 litre 3-cylinder conjugated in 100, 130 and 155 hp coupled to a 6-speed mechanical gearbox or an 8-speed automatic transmission, a diesel 1.5 liter 100 hp with 6-speed manual or 130 hp with an automatic 8-speed transmission, and an electric motor of 100 kW (136 hp) for a torque of 260 Nm available immediately.
The 50 kWh large capacity battery provides a range of up to 310 km according to the new WLTP standard. This battery is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km for 70% of its charging capacity.
