Saturday 25th May, 2019, around 9pm a collision occurred between two yachts in the bay of Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes). One of the crew members, a 29-year-old man, died.
Drama off Cannes . Saturday 25th May, 2019, two yachts, about twenty meters each, collided around 9pm. One, the Vision was maneuvering while the other, the Minx , was at anchor, near Sainte-Marguerite Island.
In shock, a 29-year-old British man died.

The victim was a member of the Minx crew . He was reportedly wounded when he was anchored, according to information provided by the Mediterranean Maritime Prefecture.
“Despite all attempted resuscitation, a 29-year-old man was pronounced dead after a cardiac arrest.”
Despite the rapid intervention of relief, he did not survive. The 17 passages of the other two yachts were evacuated.
An investigation was opened by the Marseille Maritime Prosecutor’s Office and entrusted to the Maritime Gendarmerie’s Research Brigade. It should shed light on the circumstances of this accident.
