The popularity of the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, down for two months, is up slightly by two points, according to a poll released on Tuesday.

The popularity rating of Emmanuel Macron has increased by two points this month to 32% support , erasing its decline in March, according to the Odoxa political barometer for France Inter, the regional press and L’Express published Tuesday.

The head of state, which had fallen to 27% of favorable opinions in December at the height of the movement of “Yellow Vests” , enjoys a “  Notre-Dame  ” effect on its management of the fire of the cathedral of Paris but also announcements expected on the consequences of the “Great Debate” whose content has filtered through the press (reindexing small pensions on inflation, lower income tax for people taxed in the first installments), says Odoxa.

At the same time, the rating of Prime Minister Edouard Philippe is stable at 34% of good opinions.

The survey was conducted among a representative sample  of 1,003 people aged 18 and over interviewed  online on April 17th and 18th.
