Lorient: What to do this Saturday in and around Lorient 1

It’s not just the Interceltic Festival this weekend in Lorient! Visits, concerts, animations … enough for the whole family.

Here are some ideas of outings for this Saturday 4th August, in the region of Lorient.

The sea party at Lomener

The Rhum et Eau group will be at the Fête de la Mer, in Lomener, in Plœmeur.

The traditional Festival of the Sea will take place all weekend. Cleaning mussels and fish soup, from 10 am, on tunes of Breton music. At 2 pm, pétanque competition, sand castle and marbles. The traditional fisherman’s meal will begin at around 7 pm, with the band Rhum et Eau, before a popular dance.

From 10 am, at the port of Lomener, Ploemeur.

Concert in Gâvres

Danny Fisher Trio invites the blues at the Taverne bar. All the great standards of the genre blues rock will be taken by the trio used to the place. A catering service will be available.

At 9 pm, 31, rue du Débarcadère, Gâvres. Free.

Provisional Housing Soye

Go back in time for the end of the Second World War, this is what the site of Soye offers. Three barracks of the war were reassembled and furnished with the period furniture, that of Lorientes victim of the bombings.

Observation of bats in Kernascléden
