This Saturday, August 19th, at 5.45pm, the situation could have turned turn into a tragedy at the Paludiers campsite in Batz-sur-Mer, Loire-Atlantique in the Pays de la Loire.

This Saturday, August 19th, at 5.45pm, the situation could have turned turn into a tragedy at the Paludiers campsite in Batz-sur-Mer, Loire-Atlantique in the Pays de la Loire. While she was bathing in the shallow end of the swimming pool at the campsite, a 3 year old child escaped the vigilance of the parents.

Without knowing yet the exact circumstances of the accident, Nora, from Bobigny, on a family vacation, would have crossed herself the small to the large pool, then dropping to the bottom of the water, without nobody has seen anything likely happen.

Alerted by the cries near the pool, Patrick Auger, Head of lifeguard rescuers swimmers of the SNSM (National Society sea rescue) in  Batz, and resident of the camp, immediately flew to the rescue of toddler: “The child had stopped breathing when I arrived, I immediately provided care instilled during our training, connected by telephone with the doctor from Samu and aided by a fireman on holiday from Paris, which spontaneously aided me on site. 

Firemen and doctors from SAMU  arrived from Le Croisic and then took over, before the victim is transported to hospital in Saint-Nazaire.
