If you are looking for something to do in the Chateau-Gontier area this week, there are two events taking place that you might be interested in attending.
Monday 5th June
The skating club (photo) of Château-Gontier hosts the 6th international competition of speed skating. This is one of the three roads enrolled in the French National Federation of Roller Sports calendar. The event is co-organized by four clubs in the Loire including CPR Château-Gontier (Mayenne). It brings together athletes of veteran super mini categories in races of various formats: speed races (100 m, 120 m, 300 m, 500 m and 1000 m) and distance running.

Thursday 8th June
Opening of three exhibitions “Amazing Bestiary” at the library, the art and history museum and cultural center. The exhibition presents 131 zoology boards are original reproductions of drawings made by Jules-Louis Le Jeune, the board designer in the expedition of La Coquille.
