The orange alert still in force in the Vendée

The Vendée is on orange weather alert for the risk of storm waves with submersion. High tide was at 5.39am this morning, an hour later, the prefecture has not a single intervention of firefighters due to the weather.

Strong wind and significant tidal coefficient led to fear a rise in sea level this Tuesday, February 28th on the Vendée coast. High tide at 5.39am, generated a premium of “50 to 60 cm with an average swell but not so worried” , reported at 6:30 am the departmental operational center, activated cell from 3:30 prefecture to manage the weather episode.

There was no damage to infrastructure alone a tree fell on the road to Bouin.

The bridge of Noirmoutier is now open, the Gois, it is closed.
