The emergency services were deployed on Saturday afternoon, just steps from the Place of Sainte-Anne, in the heart of Rennes.
The section of the floor of about 10 square metres collapsed at the Noz store, located at rue Saint-Malo in the centre of rennes. A slab 10 cm thick gave way. It is thought that 5 to 6 people have fallen into the cavity. It is not known at this time, if the victims are seriously injured.
Specialized resources in the search for victims and clearing incurred. About 70 firefighters were mobilized.

About thirty people were present in the store at the time of the incident.
Fearing a gas leak, emergency have set up a security perimeter. All Saint-Malo Street is closed.
