New to the Saint-Jacques airport in Rennes. Vueling now flies to London Gatwick, with three return flights per week to the British capital. The first of them took off on Tuesday, in the early afternoon.
Vueling, the Spanish low-cost airline, was more used to serve the south of Europe, towards the sun, with Barcelona, Rome and the Balearic Islands. This time she flew to London Gatwick Airport, the second busiest airport in the UK after Heathrow.

Tickets are on sale on the internet from € 29.99 one way. This novelty is increasing supply to London, the British capital is already served by Flybe from Rennes. Vueling flights are done in code-share (code-sharing) on British Airways, allowing to borrow long-haul flights to Gatwick hub without needing to retrieve your luggage.
This was the case on Tuesday, with a couple who started from Rennes before joining a flight to Panama, Central America. “This new service will significantly increase the number of English visitors in Brittany”, says Gilles Tellier, the airport manager Rennes.
Vueling offers three round trips per week on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
