The mercury is declining in France. The orange alert for the heatwave was lifted for 43 departments on Sunday August 28th. Still, 68 departments were placed in yellow warning, heatwaves and storms for some of them.
Although the warning has changed from orange to Yellow, we must remain vigilant and on alert in case of sensitive activities in weather risk or near a shore or a river. Usual phenomena in the region can become occasionally and locally hazardous (eg mistral, summer storm, rising water) indicates in its 5am Meteo France bulletin.
Vigilance completely lifting the Northwest and the Southeast
Vigilance heatwave was ruled out in 27 departments Northwest and Southeast and on Corsica.
A few thunderstorms will continue in late night the Aquitaine Poitou morning and extend north of Midi-Pyrénées in the Northeast. This unstable weather persists in the afternoon of Auvergne in Alsace with thunderstorms in places marked with possible hail, mainly in the Northeast. On the west façade, Belgium to the Pyrenees, the sky will be charged and will give a few drops. The showers will be more pronounced on the relief.
More breathable air
North in Limousin, the day will take place under a variable sky. Thinning will develop in the Southwest. In the Southeast, will be sunny after the evacuation of maritime entrances around the Gulf of Lion during the morning.
The minimum display values between 15 and 23 degrees in general. It will still warm at night in the Paris region with 21 degrees, and in Burgundy.
Temperatures remain warm in Alsace-Lorraine, as well as locally in Provence with 30 to 35 degrees. The air will be more breathable elsewhere where you can expect between 20 and 26 degrees on Brittany and 24 to 30 degrees on the rest of the country.
