Five accidents in one day in the Mayenne resulting in one death and 16 injured

Mayenne was the theatre of many accidents yesterday Saturday, August 20th. They have one dead and 14 wounded.

Yesterday Saturday, 20th August, the department of the Mayenne has had at least six accidents. The most serious occurred in Aron, at about 1pm, involving three cars and killed a young man of 23, a native of Ham. The accident also injured three: a biker, 58, the driver of a car and a baby of 18 months.

The first accident of the day took place at about 7.30 am at Aron, on the Route National 12 (RD12).  A motorcyclist aged 20 years old and a motorist aged 60 years were injured in a collision between the two vehicles. They were transported to the hospital in Mayenne. At Saint-Pierre-des-Nids, a car ended up in a ditch at the exit of a corner, at Avaloirs road, at 12.15pm. The two occupants, a girl of 18 and a man of 27, were transported to the hospital of Alencon for examinations.

Shortly after, around 12.17pm, a motorcyclist of 26 years and his passenger 27 years have had a fall, Bierné drive. They were transported to the hospital of Château-Gontier.  At Larchamp, a collision between two cars, just before 2pm created a further two wounded. They were transported to Fougeres.

Around 3.55pm, at Ernee, on Route national 12 (RD12), two cars collided, at a gas station. The five passengers, including a child of three years old, were taken to the hospital at Mayenne for tests.

Finally, in Larchamp, still, around 7pm, a man of 52 years was injured by losing control of his car on the main road. He was transported to the hospital of Fougeres.
