Enclosed in a container at the port of Le Havre since Sunday, they called for help in Nantes with the aid of a laptop.
Monday, 6.30 pm, a call is made from the port of Le Havre to the Loire-Atlantique. A migrant, enclosed in a container at the port on the Normandy coast, with fifteen others, raises the alarm with the aid of a laptop. They manage to find a wifi signal and connect to a migrant aid organisation, which was in Nantes.
Police Contacted
The migrant aid organization immediately call the maritime police, who with geolocation, tracked the container to be situauted at the port of Le Havre. The coastguard and port security have requested to bring it down. “The seals were broken and sixteen people were actually rescued,” said a judicial source. It appears that the container had left Nantes on Sunday loaded onto a truck and headed to Le Harve.
