Unfortunate coincidence? It is unclear at this time if the two cases are linked. The owner of Ebony, the donkey that was shot and killed last Saturday near Givors, was beaten outside his home.

The incident occurred on Monday evening around 11pm, indicates Le Progrès .  Several youths reportedly attacked him, under the pretext that he asked them to make less noise. The man who had the eardrum perforated by blows and various other injuries, suffered eight days of ITT.  Lost consciousness during the assault, and he had to be rushed to hospital.

Moved at the plight of this animal, many posted on social networks  before a call for witness was launched by the police to find the killers.
