Great vigilance is to be observed on Saturday afternoon from 3pm in eleven of the South West departments of France, announced Meteo France. Dordogne, Landes, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, the Lot-et-Garonne, Lot, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Haute-Garonne, Gers, Aveyron and Corrèze are concerned.
Météo France, placed the South West under the Orange alert as they forecast “severe thunderstorms over south west” this afternoon and tonight [Saturday] with risk of “hail and strong wind gusts.” The southern half of the Gironde could also be affected by this alert. Strong storms should diminish from 9pm.
