Disturbances are back in the sky.  The North and the Pas-de-Calais were placed in orange alert for strong wind from Tuesday afternoon, said Meteo France.  The phenomenon and should last from 4 pm Tuesday to 4 am Wednesday morning.

“A transition occurs first rainy Tuesday morning while the main disturbance is still at the coast of Brittany and England,” said Meteo France in its vigilance bulletin.

Higher gusts exceeding 100 km/h

According to forecasters, “the wind, always the South west, will strengthen significantly [in the afternoon] and will stay strong until Tuesday to Wednesday night environment. Gusts exceeding 100 km/h are expected over western Pas-de-Calais, and on the north of the Northern Department, and temporarily up to 110 km/h on the coast. The gusts will be between 80 and 100 km/h on the rest of the region. “
