It was around 11pm that the alarm was raised yesterday. A fire broke out in a house Riaillé. The damage is severe.
A house in the municipality of Riaillé in the north of the department, was hit by lightning yesterday. The fire started around 11 pm and the fire damage is very intense despite the rapid intervention of firefighters. A spokesman said “Thankfully the owners of the house were not present at the time of the lightning strike otherwise we could be looking at a loss of life.”
The mayor of the town, Patrice Chevallier, visited the site of the house. The town has decided to support the relocation of owners.
