French pilots have voted to strike this weekend which is likely to severely hit the Flag carrier Air France and is expected to end Monday at Midnight.
The pilots are striking as they oppose proposed new rules to come into effect in 2010 that would end the current requirement for them to retire at 60, forcing them to work until the age of 65, and argue that besides the higher risk to customer safety, it would affect the prospects of younger pilots.
