The third edition of Rendez-vous de l’aventure at Lons-le-Saunier will be once again a feast for the eyes. The film appointments are set at Megarama and 4C.
By proposing to Olivier Weber – writer, traveler, journalist, humanitarian fighter, and even a time ambassador of France itinerant – to be the godfather of the 2018 vintage of the festival Rendez-vous of adventure, Virgile Charlot has placed this third edition on excellent tracks.
Especially since this great reporter, already honored by the literary prizes of the Joseph Kessel Adventure and Albert London, will also be president of the jury of the book of Adventure for the five books selected for the price of the Capercaillie. And then, he will still be there to present his film Beyond the Light, Baikal Challenge.
The adventure at home
Present on March 2 at the Cordeliers cinema for the launch party, in the middle of all the festival’s partners and the lucky few who had been able to register, Olivier Weber declared: “More than an adventurer, I am rather a transmitter to help discover the world “.
The festival is not just books and adventure films offered to the public.
As of March 9th, the off has also shot with a theatrical comedy.
Reception and information will be provided from the base camp of the Liberty Square, while the Librairie de l’Aventure, which is the place of passage of the authors, will have opened its door free access in the hall of Megarama.
Anyone who wants to feel the adventure at home (discovery of the nearby environment) in the company of high school students and CFA Montmorot will think to register beforehand to take their departure.
It will be the same for young people from 7 years wishing to participate in the World Tour Mediatrek, reading workshop in the footsteps of Phileas Fogg proposed by the Multimedia Library Cordeliers.
The Lab ‘Aventure will also have its fans ready to live or share some exceptional adventures like the descent in the heart of the crater of Nyiragongo, Congo, in the footsteps of the Lédonien Patrick Marcel.
Most of the public will be passionate about the many selected films that will be screened either at the Megarama or at the neighboring cinema of the Cordeliers, or for three of them at the auditorium of the Espace des Mondes Polaires in Prémanon.
Finally gourmet adventurers will wait Sunday morning and breakfasts offered before the two appointments of the morning at Carcom and Megarama. Virgile Charlot was right when he said: “There will be something for everyone”!
