Friday morning, from 4 am, road accidents are increasing in Finistère due to ice. Firefighters in the department have already been called to thirty road accidents.
All roads, primary or secondary are affected by the ice storm that has struck the west of France, and an emergency call for greater vigilance has been issued from the emergency services, who have already been called to thirty road accidents since 4am in the Finistère region. “We must reduce speed to suit the road conditions” , advises that finistérien firefighter.
The services have already started to salt the roads, but their is a mammoth task ahead, given the amount of roads that need to be covered within the department.
Only the centre of Finistère seems a bit immune to the ice, but the rest of the department is affected. So be careful!
