An animation of the arts called “Grée’Art” will be held in a farmhouse-mansion Soulvache (towards Martigné-Ferchaud) Saturday 19th and Sunday, March 20th, 2016.
Organized by the association Les amis de plein Grée, Grée’Art the festival, which is the first edition, aims to animate the Manoir de la Gree and support the alternative school, Capucines in Vern at sur-Seiche (Ille-et-Vilaine). Located 5 km from the town of Soulvache (towards Martigné-Ferchaud), 15 km north of Chateaubriant, the borders of Loire-Atlantique and Ille-et -Vilaine, the Gree is a mansion that was purchased in 2005 by SCI “La Gree” after sitting abandoned for thirty years. A group of people then were permanently installed in the building to revive the place. In 2007, an additional farm building and 25 hectares, adjacent to the mansion, were bought by SCI.
The program for the two days at the Grée’Art will consist on the Saturday and Sunday there will be rides, live shows, the presence of twenty artists (painter , musician, designer, woodcarver, dancers, ironworker, etc.) that carry out works in situ (on site); participatory workshops (paper sculpture, toy making from recycling craft, fabric printing, etc.). On Saturday, from 6.30 pm, there will be four concerts: Ele e Ela (Brazilian jazz), Ustedes (Spanish folk) , the heifers in the Corn (local group) and Skin A Buck (rock).
Admission is free to all, open from 2pm on both the Saturday and Sunday with snacks and refreshments being served from 3pm.
