Four rates will be defined between each airport and the right bank or the left bank of the Seine, the government said in an interdepartmental statement. It specifies that these tariffs will be published in late August, while “taxi meters will be updated from 1 January 2016, as part of the annual adjustment of tariffs.”
This “taxi package” was unveiled at the tourism Assizes in June 2014 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Laurent Fabius.
Designed by the Government to modernize and strengthen the attractiveness of the offer taxi, this measure has encountered opposition from a wide Inter drivers.
Moreover, for all races Parisian taxis between the capital and its airports, supplements will be removed, except in the case of using a large vehicle.
The creation of this “taxi package” goes with the opening of dedicated lanes for buses and taxis on the highway linking Paris airports, expected traffic flow. These openings are respectively occurred April 29 on the A1 to Roissy, and Wednesday on the A6 towards Orly.
