The weather in France will once again be marked by storms. Météo-France have placed 70 Departments on alert for severe weather and rain-flood alert. Here is the forecast for Monday 4th May 2026.

The forecast for this Monday

In the morning this Monday, the sky will be “low and gray in the Basque Country going up towards Poitou-Charentes, Brittany and Hauts-de-France”, indicates Météo-France. “Fog, locally dense, is installed from Normandy to the Belgian border. ”

“Clouds largely dominate the rest of the country where frequent showers occur, they are stormy from Languedoc to the Rhône valley” and the south of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

In the afternoon, the rains intensify and become lasting in Languedoc and the PACA region and reach Corsica but the stormy aspect is less marked.

“Everywhere else, clearings are rare, showers frequent, punctuated by thunderclaps, with a risk of hail falling in Occitanie”, continues Météo France.

The easterly wind will remain strong on the Mediterranean coast, reaching 70 to 80 km/h at peaks. In terms of temperatures, the minimums will be between 8 and 14 degrees, the maximums between 16 and 20 degrees.
