Massive Chicken Recall Throughout France: Listeria may have Contaminated your Meat

E. Leclerc, Carrefour, Auchan, Coccimarket, System U… Chicken snacks sold by several brands are subject to a national recall. They would contain Listeria.

A few minutes in the microwave and bam! Thanks to the small sachets of chicken drumsticks, here’s a (end of) quick and convenient meal ready. In addition, the children tend to rather appreciate this type of menu, which is not negligible on a daily basis.

If you have recently purchased one, however, be careful: lots of chicken nibbles from several brands, including the very popular one legaulois, are the subject of a product recall throughout France. In question: the presence of the Listeria monocytogenes.

All references recalled

It is the government platform RappelConso which warns of this massive removal from the shelves, which concerns several batches and brands.

  • Chicken nibbles from the Volae brand at Intermarché

Two references are recalled at Intermarché, from its distributor brand Volae.

There first mentioned by RappelConso : Mexican chicken nibbles, sold in 500 gram bags, from January 24 to 30, 2026, throughout France. These are batches bearing the barcode 3250393453540, with an expiration date (DLC) set for 02/14/2026.

There second reference produced by Volae : batches of roasted chicken nibbles, sold at Intermarché from January 26th to 30th, 2026 in 500 gram bags. The barcode to locate is 3250391341924 and the DLC is set for 02/14/2026.

  • Chicken nibbles from the Le Gaulois brand

It’s the brand’s turn The Gaul, one of the main poultry brands in France, to be mentioned by RappelConso. Two references different are affected by the national product recall.

First of all, “extra intense spice curry” chicken nibbles, sold in sachets to keep cool. Sold from January 26 to 30 in all stores E. Leclerc and Crossroads from France, they present the barcode 3266980025724 and a DLC set for 02/14/2026.

Then “extra Japanese terikaki flavor” chicken nibbles. Distributed in sachets from January 24 to 30, 2026 in all E. Leclerc, Carrefour, Auchan and Système U (among others), these products have the following barcode: 3266980025755. Their DLC is 02/14/2026.

  • Chicken nibbles from the Belle France brand at Francap

Chicken drumsticks from the Belle France brand, sold in Francap group stores – Coccinelle, Coccimarket or even Ecoprix for example – are also quoted by RappelConso.

These are 500 gram sachets of plain chicken nibbles, sold from January 26 to 30, 2026. The barcode to locate is 3258561470528 and the DLC is, again, 02/14/2026.

  • Indian-style chicken nibbles at Auchan

On the side of home AuchanRappelConso note that Indian chicken nibbles are among the products recalled for Listeria. These are the bags of drumsticks sold from January 26 to 30, 2026 throughout France.

The barcode to look out for on the package is 3266980239886, while the use-by date remains February 14th, 2026. RappelConso, however, does not give any indication as to the brand concerned.

Watch for listeriosis and its symptoms

All of the meat references cited above are suspected of containing Listeria monocytogenes the causative agent of listeriosis. This bacteria, which is often found naturally in the environment, can become toxic beyond a certain threshold.

This is where we must be very vigilant: in fact, listeriosis is a potentially serious illness and its “incubation time can be up to eight weeks”, warns RappelConso in its product sheets.

People who have consumed the products mentioned above and who have a fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and aches, are invited to consult their doctor and inform them of this consumption. Serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly should be particularly attentive to these symptoms.

Do you have one of the recalled sachets in your refrigerator? Above all, do not consume it. Throw it in the trash right away (and watch the appearance of symptoms of listeriosis) or return it to the point of sale to obtain one refund.

You still have a little time: the recall procedure runs until Monday 2nd March 2026.
