The 14th July, is a good day to be in France as it is Bastille Day, a National Holiday, and a perfect time to meet up with family and friends.

This year, we had the pleasure of hosting my daughter’s boyfriend, and we decided to make the most of the day by enjoying the sweltering weather, which reached a scorching 39° C while cooling off in our refreshing pool.

As the sun began to set, we eagerly made our way to Grand Fourgeray, a picturesque location renowned for its captivating Bastille Day Firework Display. This enchanting event offers a plethora of entertainment options to keep visitors of all ages engaged. Before the display commences, you can explore the lively beer tents, savour delicious barbeque delicacies, and dance to your heart’s content at the vibrant disco.

When the moment arrives, darkness engulfs the surroundings, and the sky lights up with a breathtaking spectacle. This year’s display surpassed all expectations, captivating our senses with its awe-inspiring beauty. The organizers even incorporated a unique twist by setting fireworks off inside the Tower, creating a mesmerizing illusion of it being engulfed in flames.
